Funny mark on new emails

I don't know if I pressed wrong key or what but whenever I start a new email
it has a funny mark that looks like a dollar sign and has dots and is after
each word when I type. I can't get rid of it on my screen but when I send
the email it doesn't show up on the receivers end. I've already checked
under signatures to see if there was something added there but there isn't.
Please help.

Re: Funny mark on new emails

Does your "dollar sign" look like this: ΒΆ ? If so: Ctrl+Shift+8.

Because you are using Word as the e-mail editor, and you have an
option enabled in Word to display control characters. Users in a Word
group can tell you how to configure Word.

Re: Funny mark on new emails

you probably made formatting marks visible. Do you see a backwards P icon on
the toolbar? Click it to toggle formatting marks off.
