I have missing text in email using outlook 2003

When sending email the email will arrive with only the header showing and no
text.

This is also the same when you check the mail in the sent items folder there
is only the header and no text.

We have a signature generated on the exchange server so all outgoing mail is
in HTML format.

Anyone have any ideas, this is driving me nuts. Thanks.

Re: I have missing text in email using outlook 2003

I have service pack 3 installed, If I use Plain text or Rich text it seems to
work. However we have an HTML signature so I really need it to work in HTML
format.

Re: I have missing text in email using outlook 2003

Hi Gerard,

what I found:

"The issue lies in the way Outlook 2003 handles images and links in HTML
messages. In previous versions, graphics and links were delivered to the
computer and appeared in Outlook's preview pane (in default mode). Now,
HTML, images and rich media are cached on the server and downloaded only
when the message is actually opened. This protects users from viewing
possibly objectionable images; prevents invisible executables from opening
in preview mode; and scotches directory harvesting of e-mail addresses.
Users must either manually click to load a message's images and links, or
turn off the image-caching feature in the preferences."

Further: HTML email with Outlook 2003"

I asked only to point my "ideas" in the right direction. If you would get
the same problem also in "RTX" format the reason could be another.

Did you also ask your Exchange Administrator about the different settings on
the other clients, where it works?
