Re: PST FILE
Check to see if your hard disk is formatted as FAT32... If it is, files are limited to 4GB (thus your PST shows up as full even though you have free space).
-->Right Click on the drive from my computer and choose properties, there you should see file system (NTFS, FAT32, etc). If it is FAT32, you can use convert.exe to convert it over to NTFS -->make a backup of everything first as this will effect your entire HD -->Open a command prompt Start / Run / cmd -->Enter: CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS /V /X --> Where C:\ is the drive you want to convert --> /FS:NTFS this means that the volume is to be converted to NTFS. --> /V this means that Convert should tell you what is happening or what it's doing --> /X Forces the volume to dismount first if necessary. (This may make your computer reboot) Some other options are (just add them after the /X if you think they apply): /CvtArea:filename Specifies a contiguous file in the root directory to be the place holder for NTFS system files. /NoSecurity Specifies the converted files and directories security settings to be accessible by everyone. |
