Re: mail not connected
I had the same problem as you and found a solution at microsoft support site for a problem that sounds aliitle different to ours but it worked. Go to this address
or see directions below To work around this issue, follow these steps: Make a backup copy of the Windows Live Hotmail data. To do this, follow these steps. Note Mail, contact, calendar, and task items in Outlook will also be backed up when you follow these steps. Start Microsoft Office Outlook, and then click the folder for the Windows Live Hotmail account in the Folder list. The Windows Live Hotmail account resembles one of the following folder names: On the File menu, click Import and Export. In the Choose an action to perform list, click Export to a file, and then click Next. In the Create a file of type list, click Personal Folder File (.pst), and then click Next. In the Select the folder to export from list, click the Windows Live Hotmail account folder, click to select the Include subfolders check box, and then click Next. In the Save exported file as box, type the location to save the backup copy of the Windows Live Hotmail data. Or, click Browse to select the location. Click Finish. Remove the Windows Live Hotmail account in Outlook. To do this, follow these steps: Outlook 2007 On the Tools menu, click Account Settings. On the E-mail tab, click the Windows Live Hotmail account, and then click Remove. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the account. Exit Outlook. Outlook 2003 On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts under E-mail, and then click Next. Click the Windows Live Hotmail account, and then click Remove. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the account. Exit Outlook. Add the Windows Live Hotmail account in Outlook. To do this, follow these steps: Start Outlook. On the Outlook Connector menu, click Add a New Account. Type the appropriate information for the Windows Live Hotmail account, and then click OK. Restart Outlook. |
