delivery notification was not sent by the destination

I got the following email in outlook. What does it mean?

"delivery to these recipinets or distribution lists is complete, but
delivery notification was not sent by destination"

Ask the ISP who sent the message.

After furious head scratching, biff asked:

I saw this thread while researching this issue and decided to come back and post a repy that might save the next person some time:

The message is a result of the sender requesting a delivery receipt when sending the email and the receiving mail server being configured NOT to send delivery receipts. To stop receiving this email, do not request delivery notifications for this receipiant.
