Outlook 2007: "Folder is full"

I am on WIndows Vista and using Outlook 2007. I am getting a "folder is full"
error message whenever I try to delete any email from any folder.

If I try to permanently delete a deleted messahe I am getting " The message
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart
Outlook."

Re: Outlook 2007: "Folder is full"

Which mail account type are you using?
If you're using a pst-file; what is the size of it?

Re: Outlook 2007: "Folder is full"

Is this a Unicode formatted pst-file?
Choose File-> Data File Management-> Double click the pst-file and look at
the Format section. Is Personal Folders File appended with (97-2003)?

Additionally, empty your Deleted Items folder and scan your pst-file for
errors with scanpst.exe

Re: Outlook 2007: "Folder is full"

I am having the same problem. My "Personal Folders File" is appended w/
(97-2003) AND I already ran the scanpst.exe. STILL having the same problem.
Please advise.

It should actually be "97-2002" type file. that's NOT a new Unicode file.
Create a new Unicode file, set it as the default delivery location and copy
all your data to it, then close the original pst file.

Re: Outlook 2007: "Folder is full"

Sorry, typo on my part. It was (97-2002). Regardless I created a new pst
file.
thanks for the speedy reply.

I am also getting this same issue.
  • I am using Outlook 2007 with Vista Ult.
  • I have deleted everything from my deleted folder and Sent folder and
  • compacted the Personal Folder multiple times.
  • I have used ScanPST multiple times.
  • My PST file is only about 20 megs.
  • My Personal Fiule folder is NOT appended with (2002-2007)
  • I have created a new Personal Folder, transferred over what I needed at a minimum and
  • today (again) a new Junk email sent to mulitple recipients came in that I cannot delete or move. I get a "Folder is Full" dialog box.
The fact that this type of thread is so prevalent on the MS forums and all over the web seems to indicate that this is an ongoing bug in Outlook.

The real question is how do I get rid of this piece of Junk mail and prevent this annoyance in teh future?
