Outlook 2007 when I search accross folders

Instant search is giving me a world of hurt.

If I search any particular folder, it works well.

When Outlook suggests I search accross all folders, however, it invariably
crashes.

This occurs when searching mail or tasks.

FYI, all pst folders have been scanpst'd into submission.

And the error message would be...?
Check your Event Viewer for errors logged by either Outlook or the Search
Indexer.

Re: Outlook 2007 when I search accross folders

I too am having the same identical problem. I've rebuilt the index and tried
the repair for outlook and nothing has helped. The errors are as follows:

Faulting application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 12.0.6300.5000, time stamp
0x4760725d, faulting module mspst32.dll, version 12.0.6300.5000, time stamp
0x47606f6d, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x000d4860, process id
0xfdc, application start time 0x01c8c3f6ef2acd70.

ID: 6, Application Name: Microsoft Office Outlook, Application Version:
12.0.6300.5000, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6215.1000. This session lasted
99 seconds with 60 seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash.

Re: Outlook 2007 when I search accross folders

I am having this same problem and I have tried things suggested by other posts and have been unsuccessful in resolving this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Details:
Windows XP Professional, SP3
Microsoft Office 2007 SP1
Windows Desktop Search 4.0

The symtoms are, when I use the Instant Search feature in Outlook, as long as I only seach within the current folder, results are returned without any problems. If I use the link to search across all folders, Outlook crashes and reopens immediately. The application event log has the following error message logged.

The Event Log Message is Event Type: Error
Event Source: Outlook
Event Category: None
Event ID: 34
Date: 12/13/2008
Time: 11:12:46 PM
User: N/A
Computer: HALLOFJUSTICE
Description:
Failed to get the Crawl Scope Manager with error=0x8001010d.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at Events and Errors Message Center: Basic Search.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance the help.
