Cannot access PST file

Have tried Inbox Repair, Scanpst.exe etc and get "Unexpected Error prevented
access to this file. Use ScanDisk to check for disk errors & try using Index
Repair Tool again". I am being directed to go around in circles. I can open
Outlook. I have all my mails and addresses there. have checkes all and
sundry under Options. Everything correct. Can send a test message - but,
cannot sned or receive or delet files or create folders and it all falls back
on being unable to access Outlook (1)(1).pst Any ideas?

Re: Cannot access PST file

OL versions prior to 2003, or using old format, ansi code, pst have a size
limitation of 2gb, though problems can occur from 1.6gb
