Full Text in SQL 2005 vs SQL Express
Does full text work the same in both of these? From what I've read, it
appears SQl Express only searches in text columns.... I have a client who needs to search in a a column which contains imported Word docs, etc. (varbinary(max)). Can this be done in the Express version or not? Thanks, Tom |

RE: Full Text in SQL 2005 vs SQL Express
Hello Tom,
According to this MSDN article, SQL Express did not support to full-text query the varbinary(max) column. But the SQL Express with Advanced Services support. You may try to use that Edition.
