Migrating SQL server 2000
I'm setting up a new server which i need to be an exact replica of an
existing server. I've copied all the data - I've copied accross all the websites hosted on IIS and they seem to be working except for some login issues. So I am trying to copy accross my existing SQL 2000 (SP4) to a new pc. I've installed it and copied the databases accross manually, but now i'm having trouble with Users and Security settings. I've found the method to 'export' the security to a file, but no method to re-import them on the new server. How would i go about doing this? Or is there a better, 1 stop solution to migrating an existing set of databases to a new installation? Cheers |
