o2 MMS "Service not available"

HI all,

had this poblem for a while now, but since I'm not a big MMS user, it
wasn't too worrying.

Every time I try and send an MMS message, I get a "service not
available" message, after about 10 seconds.

I'm on Pay monthly, it's an SE w800i, and normal texts work fine. MMS
*has* worked in the past.

Anyone any advice please ? I have filled in the o2 online form, but
given previous experiences with them, would rather trust the group

thanks in advance

If it were me, I would ring O2 customer service, it doesnt cost anything, I
wouldnt rely on the form filling in at all! If it has worked before, you
must have the settings on your phone. 08706003009 this doesnt cost the
normal 35p per minute a normal 0870 would incur out of your minutes.

Had a reply from their CS people. Apparently, when I went to cancel my
contract in September, and was persuaded to stay on contract (rather
than go PAYG) by a rather good deal, they "forgot" to tell me that the
contact I was moving to didn't allow MMS.

I have blasted them with a broadside of Jethros patent bad-service
eliminating laser-ray, and await with interest their reply. I shall
update peeps as and when ......

It was speaking to a CS droid on the phone that got them into this
mess. As a rule, I try and avoid calling *any* customer service line
where possible, for a variety of reasons :

1) why should *I* wait

2) I am experiencing increasing problems where, not only do they not
understand me, but I cannot understand them

3) queries, comments and instructions send via web have a nice feature
of almost always being archived in my inbox. Thus making it difficult
for a company to claim they didn't receive my communication, or (more
usefully) when I have to "remind" a company what they promised or
agreed to.

It also give me a useful measure of a companies CS in general. If they
*do* have a web-form, and I fill it in, and never hear from them, then
I can pretty much assume their CS overall is crap. Many companies have
lost my custom by ignoring a web-based query. IMO Powergen are one of
the worst. Despite recieving many automated reciepts from their online
query system, I have yet to recieve and actual reply. Mind you, I no
longer have an account with them.
