A good news for Macintosh users, is that EA games, one of the biggest player in the field of games creation is going to launch its latest and revolutionary games for the Mac OS X. These games run on a special interpreter kind of engine called "TransGaming's Cider engine" that enables the original game code to be used for the Mac OS. The titles announced for the Mac are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Madden NFL 08, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, Need for Speed Carbon, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and Battlefield 2142.

"We're thrilled that the world's number one games company is making this major commitment to the Mac," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "Game fans are going to love playing these new EA titles on a Mac."

This is the first of its kind release by EA, and hence it is making sure to give the best to the gamers, utilising the Mac's potential to its best with blistering frame speeds and all the eye-candy.


"Traditionally Mac users had to wait to play the latest blockbuster games," said Vikas Gupta, CEO, TransGaming. "We're thrilled that TransGaming's Cider engine will dramatically decrease the time it will take to bring EA's hit portfolio of games to a thirsty Mac market."
