In a move whose repercussions could seriously impact the future development of AACS, cryptography software provider Certicom this morning filed suit in Marshall, Texas, against Sony, claiming its use of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) in two of its implemented technologies - AACS and Digital Transmission Content Protection - conceptually violate Certicom's patents.Visit website
