Recover var partition

Hello there
I use Suse Linux Enterprise server 10. While testing cfdisk command, I deleted my /var partition mistakenly and write the changes.
I have created 3 partitions on my hard disk, boot, swap and var.
Now I can use my Linux but Gnome is disabled.
Some features of yast are also disabled.
Is there any way to recover this lost partition?
By the way I have copied al files and folders from /var partition of the same system but it still doesn't work.
Any idea?
