Have you ever by accident removed a key launcher on your Ubuntu panel and can not quite figure out how to get them back?
Here is an easy tip how to reset the default settings on the panel. Press Alt-F2 if you mistakingly removed your top panel and can not access the Application Menu. Now in the commend window type in "gnome-terminal" (without quotes). ![]() If you have not removed your top panel by mistake and just want to reset all panel settings to the default just go to Applications>Accessories>Terminal ![]() ![]() Now in the terminal windows type in Code:
gconftool-2 --shutdown Now type in Code:
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel Now type in Code:
pkill gnome-panel If all done correctly your panels should be reset to the default settings even through Restart. Hope this tip helps ![]() Sponsored Links
