Character sets
There seem to be two (or more) character sets.
iso-8859-1 utf-8 Googeling tells me the latter should be used, yet my recently published book tells me otherwise. Could I please have your informed comment? Thank you. Zach. |

The only problem with UTF-8 is that some operating systems *cough* ms
*cough* have no or hardly sufficient support. About every modern system can handle unicode though. Use this group to find information your need or google for popular PHP sites, there are loads out there!. utf-8 is the best to use. It handles non standard characters a lot better.
