Ink refill kits & Canon Pixmap MP830?
Ok.
Our HP PSC 2210 broke down and refuses to do anything useful. I'm not a big fan of all-in-one printers, but I've been told the newer ones are a lot better. I'm planning on printing a fair number of pictures on photo paper, and do the occassional fax/copy. I like the Canon Pixma MP830 since it is a 5 color system, is theoretically refillable, does duplex and has an ADF. Unless someone tells me otherwise, I am almost dead set against getting another HP due to bad experiences with their ink costs, shelf life and lack of refillability. Anyhow, the Canon Pixma MP830 looks like a nice printer and I'm considering it, but I have a couple of quick questions: -What other all-in-one printers should I consider in the $250 or lower price range that will provide excellent photo printing? -Where should I get refill kits that are both inexpensive and have great output and high durability (like Canon's 100 year)? -I've read that if you refill the new CLI-xx and PGI-xx cartridges that the ink level readout will not work after you do the 5 or more second "reset". Any way to fix this? |

You can try the MP780 . It uses the 5 ink system and ADF with duplexing
built-in.Great photos also .Ink is available to refill. Not so for the CLI series. I believe it is still available at Micro Center in the US. Maybe other sites online also. <> wrote in message news:1145637043.764221.261560@j33g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com... > Ok. > Our HP PSC 2210 broke down and refuses to do anything useful. > I'm not a big fan of all-in-one printers, but I've been told the newer > ones are a lot better. > I'm planning on printing a fair number of pictures on photo paper, and > do the occassional fax/copy. > > I like the Canon Pixma MP830 since it is a 5 color system, is > theoretically refillable, does duplex and has an ADF. > Unless someone tells me otherwise, I am almost dead set against getting > another HP due to bad experiences with their ink costs, shelf life and > lack of refillability. > > Anyhow, the Canon Pixma MP830 looks like a nice printer and I'm > considering it, but I have a couple of quick questions: > > -What other all-in-one printers should I consider in the $250 or lower > price range that will provide excellent photo printing? > > -Where should I get refill kits that are both inexpensive and have > great output and high durability (like Canon's 100 year)? > > -I've read that if you refill the new CLI-xx and PGI-xx cartridges that > the ink level readout will not work after you do the 5 or more second > "reset".
