Toner for laser printers
Hi all,
Tell me, has it always been the way that monochrome laser printers will only have available BLACK toner? It occurred to me that I might like to print - say - royal blue text on pre-printed stationery - has this kind of colour choice ever been available? (Yes, I could certainly print royal blue via my expensive colour laser printer, but since I might only want to print blue, why not just stick a blue toner cart in a Laserjet 5Si for fast mass mailings, for example!) Could be a market for multicoloured toners! Mark |

The problem is that there is a different chemical makeup between black and colour toners. Also this option is not available, so far as I know, off the shelf. It would involve refilling toner cartridges. If you ever decide to experiment please let us know how you get on. Tony |
