Canon ip4300 and the CLI-8BK cartridge: what does it do?
Hi all,
What is the CLI-8BK cartridge for in the Canon ip4300 printer? I thought it was a fall back cartridge for when the PGI-5BK cartridge ran out...but apparently this is not the case. What is this extra cartridge used for, seeing as the ink level in it hasn't dropped since we bought the printer? Hmmm...that makes me wonder if my printer is defective: the CLI-8BK cartridge hasn't been used at all apparently, and the PGI-5BK has been used exclusively (it ran out during double sided printing). I think the two blacks are different types of dye or pigment as well Gary |
