HP 932C

Grey items are printing pinkish. Does that mean I need a new color cartridge
or B&W? B&W text appears OK. HP ink volume software does not work in XP PC.
Thanks, Steve T.

Steve,
You may have the built in driver for XP loaded. The one on the HP website just
may have ink level monitoring but I'm not sure.
The full featured driver is available from

Worth a try. Uninstall the printer, unplug the cable and run the installer you
download then plug the cable in when requested or when the installation
completes.

A quick way to check the cartridges is to put a damp folded paper towel on
something that won't stain, press each of the printheads down onto the paper
for about half a second (you will be pressing the part where the ink nozzles
are at the bottom of the cartridge). The black cartridge should give a single
good solid black impression and the colour cartridges should give three smaller
impressions and they should be a good strong Yellow, Magenta and Cyan.
Good luck

Re: HP 932C

Thanks Tony. Installing the updated driver returned the use of the HP
toolbox and now the ink level indicators work. BTW, it states that the color
cartridge is low. Thanks again, Steve T.
