Canon CLI-8 (Pixma 4300 etc) - 15 orange flash :(
Hi,
my printer (Canon ip4300) stopped to print : I've a 15 orange led flashes...the cartridges are not detected, it seems to be a well known problem but...i didn't find any solution :\ I use refilled original cartridges...I pressed the "continue" key for 5 seconds to let the printer work and everything was ok for 3 months without the ink level segnalation but now there's nothing to do... Someone suggests to replace a cartridge with a new brand original one but I think that this is not a useful solution cause the process that kill che chips would not be stopped. Have you got any solution? I'm sure i'm not the only 15-orange-flash- victim here ![]() Regards RIC |

I replace the cli-8 small black with a new original one...and the red led is now ready...but the printer wants me to put the other 4 original cartridges :\ I know that there's a cli-8 resetter...but it costs 350 euros...not very cheap :\ Now my question : does exist a chip that has not to be resetted? No matter if the ink indicator would not work... |

I don't remember the page where the instructions are but you should be able to search for it. Tony MS MVP Printing/Imaging |
