Crossfire on one card: X1600 XT HIS

Quote:
It looks like NVIDIA isn't the only party focussing at dual-core graphics cards.
At the Computex next week HiS will show off a Radeon X1600 XT card with two graphics cores. The HiS "Gemini" will have the two cores running at 590 MHZ and will have 2x256MB memory clocked at 1.38 GHz. The more common info like proces and availibility is obviously not yet known but considering the HiS pricing model I expect something in the likings of 225 USD.
This is an interesting development for sure.

Hope it doesnt perform the same as Dual-GPU nVidia cards which were rather unsuccessful due to many technical , bottlenecks and compatibility issues ....The 7800 GTX Dual GPU performed worse than two 7800GTX in SLi though it costs a lot more ....

well Nvidia brought dual-gpu only of the 7800GTX models .. and these are the 1600 , low midrange model , so they'll be cheap , but will they have the same issues ... i think only benchmarks can tell ...
