No need of a bad play here my friends.. You can express your opinion. But don't try to change or correct others. Hope it's clear enough.

Thats enough of you guys now. Just Chill
And as such the throne of the greatest processor keeps on changing.
If 2day its with Intel, then 2morow it has to be with AMD.
Both these giants stand perfect at their position.

And as such lets stick to the topic of preferring rather than leading

Single Core : AMD Rulez
Dual Core (Low Budget) : AMD Rulez
Dual Core (Medium / High Budget) : Intel Rulez (Only with Core2 Duo) ..

Lets go back a few years .. Prescotts literally pwn'ed the older AthlonXP based CPU's .. but with the advent of Athlon64's , AMD took over the larger market share .. by setting a definitive standard , they' forced Intel to retreat (remember Intel CEO getting down on his knees and saying soorry because he could deliver 4.0 GHz ??) .. and now Intel is back with Core2 Duo's ... a new standard set again .. AMD is quite for some time now .. and so u can literally expect something serious in return ... for now , like i said in the first 3 lines ..

But then again .. its not the CPU that only matters is it ?? Intel uses DDR2 mostly now , so the mobo's with good tweaking features and misc. features get a bit costly ... so the whole mobo + CPU + mem. combo is quite high .. AMD offers both DDR and DDR2 , and mobo's infact cost as low as 3k's with umpteen features , so here the CPU + Mobo + RAM cost reduces significantly ..

And as for personal opinion's .. AMD anyday .... even if i was filthy rich , i'd still gor for the FX62 , over the Core2 Duo .. coz if i can afford either of those CPU , i can surely afford a uber high end card too ... which means i'll be surely gaming at HD or XHD res. of over 1600*1200 atleast ... and benchmarks show that at those res. , the performance diff. between those are almost negligible ... and as much as it goes for misc. tasks ... i've got all the time to wait a few extra mins , as i can save quite a few extra bucks ...

well this kind of topics are largely debatable and deathvirus has made a very good point .. ultimately "its YOUR choice" that matters which one you like ... both the processor family have their pros and cons ....
Technically speaking as of right now Conroe X6800 EE is topping the performance charts much like AMD FX62 did 4 months back ..... anyways intel is an old manufacturer and have been giving consistent performance untill the introduction of prescott series ..... Again AMD on the other hand has shown similar consistency with their A64 series .... so both are at par actually (in my opinion).....

Which ever has better processors at the time. Same with nVidia and ATi. One should not be a fanboy of some brand.
