Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

Just like anything, always go with what you are comfortable with......BUT when the AMD quads come out..... Intel will have to play a little catch up. It's interesting, as the poll is pretty close to actual market.

Ah finally decided .. getting a E6300 this feb. .. but still will be a AMD fan .. donno , still a bit confusion here and there .. if i get a X2 4000+ , i might bag one of those ..

i will always go for amd. it simply rocks. i am a hard core fan of amd. i am getting a 3800x2 this february or 4800x2

^^mind your words boy.. AMD ruled the world for 3 consecutive year.. and you just can't say that AMD sucks.. And since AMD is ruling the GFX/Graphics card department .. You just can't say it./ Yep I agree that AMD processor is not upo the mark with C2D but still AMD hasn't released their K10 architecture ..so better wait and watch .. its just like Sea Saw sometimes AMD is on Top and sometimes Intel

So wat??? If AMD releases something good...Intel just makes something even better!!! And also AMD never did hold the gfx section...Nvidia always had the Quadro Plex and Teslas!!!

Besides eveything is gonna be better when the next 35nm die cast C2D cpus come out and also Quad Core Pentiums with Hyper Threading and the next generation Wolfdale 3M Arcitecture!!!

Give me at least 5 examples of what AMD will release in the not so distant future that will triumph Intel to its knees and beg AMD for mercy?!!!

And btw...K 10 Architecture is already used in the X2 6000+ series and 6400+ and also it is used in the current Opteron and Phenom processors!!! This still doesn't tell the difference between the CPU power gap between AMD and Intel. > The latter one is already ahead!

Um, guys, no offense, but just to point out; this thread was started in 2006...

Well, to my opinion...
AMD and Intel are mainly in the same league. If the processor is for building your own computer, go with AMD; it is great for mixing. If it is for choosing what comp to buy, go with Intel; it is great when built specifically with other hardware. GL
