Re: Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

cleaned the thread -- stay to topic, this thread is about preferring AMD or Intel processors and not discussing about Windows 7.

And there is NO Windows 7 beta version. The product has not even reached Alpha version, the releases that you find on various torrent sites are leaked Windows 7 are only Milestone releases. Normally a product enters Beta stage once addition of all features have been done. Beta testing is mostly done for finding bugs and improving performance.

Re: Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

lol? Intel works great in most computers, but if you want to go and make a gaming computer, you need Nvidia Geforce series, which needs AMD I've got a Dell Inspiron E1505 with and Intel processor, a Dell Inspiron 1501 with and AMD, and a computer that I built myself with and AMD. To be honest, the Dell Inspiron E1505 (which has Intel) runs faster than the 1501 (which has AMD). I'm stuck on AMD, but that won't stop me from getting and Intel comp

Re: Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

It all has to do with what you like. AMD Has more hardware possibilities, but I must admit, some of the newer Intel chips can be faster than AMD

Re: Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

@1man3rd: Intel and Nvidia has always been the best combination....I've got my bckup resources and results if you want to prove me wrong!

@1man3rd: Every category of AMD and Intels are not the same...therefore a E6300 is better then a faster X2 4600+

If you compare every range of Intels Core 2 Series..such as....a mid range Intel Core 2 will easy beat a mid range AMD.....a mid range Intel Core 2 Quad will easily triumph the fastest Phenom series....and a Extreme Edition Core 2 X6800 will easily wipe out a FX 74!

And the result.....priceless

The outcome.....AMD is losing the market share now as in CPU's and a big loss against Intels huge gain profits since the release of the Core 2 Series!

Re: Which would u prefer.. AMD or Intel

Yeah, but still AMD Is cool and it's rumored that AMD is the best for gaming and it's a fact that it has more combination possibilities

What do you mean no for the cpu segment??? Stop being a fanboy and accept the Intel is still in the lead! AMD is now trying to play catchup and its very soon...the catchup wouldn't be there no more....AMD is losing its part in the market share now....low cost and beasty performance from the Intel Side is what it is triumphing and putting AMD down....and also....even if the 4870X2 is cheap for its price but do you release how much money AMD ATi put into in investing for DDR5 memory? alot thats what I can tell you...there are losing profits and investing more into products to catch up to nvidia, but nvidia has always had more raw power to boot! Just there pricing is horrible! But theres still great deals out there! I'm planning to get a 8800Ultra for $200 tigerdirect soon!
