Is it Possible to Overclock MBP ?

I have MBP (MacBook Pro) C2D T7600 with i945GME mobo. I have succeeded to overclock my Graphics card (ATI mobility radeon x1600 @ 256 MB. (GPU clock from 423 Mhz to 574 Mhz and Memory clock 450 Mhz to 599 Mhz without any problem ) Vista Aero rating increased from 4.9 to 5.9 !!!

Now my question is, can i overclock my processor? and which tools i should use? I have tried some 3rd party tools like Clockgen , but didnt work.. Please suggest.

and Is is harmful if i OC my graphics card this much ... i used ATI tool for overclocking.

My Config:
MBP C2D T7600 2.33 Ghz.
2 GB DDR2 Ram 667 Mhz ( 2x1GB)
120 GB HDD
ATI Mobility radeon x1600 ( PCI-e)
i945GME mobo

i have included Cpu-z details.

Thanks

if the mobo is locked you can't overclock it. play a game and monitor the card temps. If it's doesn't get too high your over clocking won't do much harm.

Re: Is it Possible to Overclock MBP ?

Your macbook pro is not overclockable, nor is any laptop (except for the dothan mobile laptop bsel mods back then to up the speed of your fsb). Even so, if you can overclock it somehow, no one recommends, why? coz its not worth putting more damage and voiding your warranty in a 2000$ + laptop. And also....I don't believe that you did a 15-18% overclock on your gfx card and upped the rating from 4.9 to 5.9 thats not possible.

Its not possible to overclock your laptop and nobody ever does.

I know your intergrated gfx card is overclockable...but their is no gain whatsoever, and its not recommended coz its going to 1. overheat. 2.theirs no point in overclocking it. 3.And its a stupid to overclock your laptop esp its a mac.

All your doing to your laptop is degrading its lifespan!
