Re: help me select system specs

It depends a lot on your budget and the main reason for getting a new system. If it's generally for entertainment get 512GB or 1TM hard disks, 4GB DDR2 800MHz and a good lcd and decent graphics card would do. if you want the best processor select a Intel C2D othewise mid range good processor AMD quad core.

Re: help me select system specs

You want the best.

Heres a decent list

No Specific Details

Intel Processor (Non Core i7)
Gigabyte P45 motherboard or EVGA 700" series true SLi motherboard
4GB 800MHZ good brand good performance RAM
1TB HDD to keep you futureproofed now for storage (Don't choose Western Digital, there crap, choose either Seagate or Samsung)
nvidia 9600GT graphics card or a ATi 4670 graphics card
500 Watt good brand PSU, i.e Coolermaster, Tagan, Corsair, Hipro, Silverstone, OCZ and more
20 inch or 22 inch LG or Samsung LCD monitor, if your gaming and making movies choose a monitor either in full 1080p HD or a 5ms one or lower for gaming.
Finally computer case is your own taste and decision.

Hope this list helped.
