Re: Best config for a pc

Yes mate...you can get a pretty decent pc with 800 or less excluding keyboards, mouse and monitor and save up money for those and get those later.

For $800 you can get:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 ($220)
Gigabyte EP45-UD3L ($130-$140)
4G Kit-800 G.Skill-PQ ($75)
Seagate SATA 500GB HDD ($70)
Inno3D /ECS 512M 9800GT ($145)
Cooler Master Extreme 550Watt PSU ($65)
Any PSU'less case of your choice that totals with the above that falls in the $800 budget

With this machine specs I posted, you can play mostly any game on high details and multitask just fine.

You can buy a new monitor or whatever when you save up money again. Usually what I do, because sometimes you get special rebates when you buy monitors saving you $$$ and also you probably get cheaper later with the above specs because of the price drop in tech these days etc...helping you save some $$$.

Hope the above helped!

The Q6600 is pretty on par in multitasking to the E8400. But for gaming performance etc...the E8400 is much faster and price is about the same.

Also the older Quad Core Extreme and Intel Core Extreme cpu's are obsolete now...you could hardly get them unless its from ebay or a PC Warehouse in the US. And they still cost over $1000. Prices on the Extreme Editions of CPU's never drop.

If you want....heres a AMD + nvidia list just for you and a AMD + ATi list as well.

AMD + nVidia

AMD x4 Phenom II 810 ($240)
ASUS M4A78-Pro Motherboard ($145-$150)
4G Kit-800 G.Skill-PQ ($75)
Seagate SATA 500GB HDD ($70)
Inno3D /ECS 512M 9800GT ($145)
Cooler Master Extreme 550Watt PSU ($65)
Any PSU'less case of your choice that totals with the above that falls in the $800 budget

AMD + ATi list

AMD x3 Phenom II 720 ($200)
Gigabyte MA790GP-UD4H motherboard ($155-$170)
4G Kit-800 G.Skill-PQ ($75)
Seagate SATA 500GB HDD ($70)
Gigabyte / ASUS / XFX ATi 4850 512M ($160-$190)
Cooler Master Extreme 550Watt PSU ($65)
Any PSU'less case of your choice that totals with the above that falls in the $800 budget

You can always buy online though. Just bit extra cost of so for shipping and handling.

Re: Best config for a pc

paying online was nvr my fav choice!!!
first of all, how do you pay them online?
in tunisia we dnt have wht they call "money order" (some USA guys told me abt it when i wanted to buy a premium account for Nitto Legends).
paypal? how am i supposed to put money in it where i dnt have a visa card wnd my father refuse to let me use his own?

but i guess i will get an MBK X Power or a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe instead(the cheapest RWD coupe ^^, my fath gonna be like WTF lol).
why do i want a RWD coupe?
well every one knows:
Nissan 200 series specially the famous Nissan 240sx (the drift king), car no more produced
Nissan Silvia (the 2nd Drift King) car no more produced
Misubishi Eclipse GS (The third drift King) car is produced with FWD now a days
Nissan GT-R (also called Skyline the drift king for all times) very expensive!!!
Infinity G35 coupe and G37 coupe (car used mostly in drag more then drift but it does drift well) very expensive
Nissan Z370 (i do hate it!) expensive
toyota and subaru together working on an RWD coupe comming out on 2010.
nissan and infinity together working on an RWD coupe comming out on 2010.
hyundai has already released its RWD coupe in 2007 with 25K$ for a 2.0L and 30K$ for the turbocharged and kitted 3.8L.
look at tht beaty the turbo charged version 3.6L:

Re: Best config for a pc

wht do you mean?
a new stock car with the ILLEGAL LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL isnt a NEW TECH????
it is pure tech dude!! the limited slip differential is a special differential tht makes the car slides (drifts) without loosing speed wich means less secure!!!
this is the first stock car with a limited slip differential ever
even the 240sx didnt had a limited slip differential you had to buy an after factory one!
