Why is 3D Mark used for a CPU benchmark ?

and for PC Mark the scores never depend on the CPU alone. Better do some benchmark comparisons with SiSoftSandra or Everest in the CPU tests.

Whats the thrad abt // Pretty confused u need solution or u asking :S AS Baku said 3D marks not for CPu they are for Gpu do some Synthetic bench based for CPU Btw these are charts taken from X bit labs isn't it and if u .. suggesting any processor remove Pentium D's from the list

this also does not take into account overclock speeds... if you are planning to overclock, then this info is not accurate enough
