How To Export Blogspot Data In My Domain

Hello friends…
I have a blog with the Blogspot.com. Now I am planning to move all of my data to my personal domain. Please tell me how to do this?

Re: How To Export Blogspot Data In My Domain

First of all you need to buy a domain from the Registrar like Godaddy,Name etc.
Then get a web hosting where you will be putting all your data of your site.
Then you can export the Blogspot data using this blogger backup tool,or you can try out the export data feature which is present on the blogspot blog.

After backing up the blog data, you can install a separate blogspot(blogger)installation on your new web hosting which has your new domain connected to it and then simply import back the data which you have backed up from the previous blogspot.

Thanks for the information. Can I redirect my blogspot blog to my new domain name? As I am getting good traffic with the blog and I want to redirect my traffic to my own domain.

Yes you can definitely do that. But for that you would have to manually set the redirects of your blogspot subdomain to your new domain which you will be hosting on your dedicated hosting. There is a feature of redirection in almost all the web hosting providers in their control panels.

But will the blogspot.com redirect the traffic to the new domain? I think not.

Well in most of the cases it should redirect the traffic in case of permanent redirections. Not if it is a temporary redirect though, but i don't think there will be any issue with redirection to new domain it works fine for many,i to had one blog on blogspot a few years ago and i redirected it to a new one and it worked out fine for me.
