Hardest Language to learn?

What would you say is the hardest programming language to learn? Have you ever given an attempt at it, and have you continued to learn the language or given up and gone for something easier?

The hardest language I've tried to tackle was PHP. I gave up and stuck with HTML.

Re: Hardest Language to learn?

I've only worked with C++ until now, which isn't that hard, but it's just not my favorite. I'd say Java. Anyway, if you know the basics, you can easily almost every language.

Re: Hardest Language to learn?

I find the SQL stuff more difficult then the PHP or other languages. The queries are difficult to remember. Actually I have never taken it that seriously. If at all I try it seriously I certainly can do that too.

Re: Hardest Language to learn?

The answer to this question depends on how you learn computer languages.

C++ isn't the hardest. It's not one of the easier languages. The easier languages are usually scripting languages or not as powerful.

Re: Hardest Language to learn?

HTML is by far the easiest language one could ever learn.
Some of the tougher languages are the Object oriented languages like Java,JSP and Objective C.I find objective C the toughest. It is used for Apple Mac and iOS development.

Re: Hardest Language to learn?

Assembly and brain**** would be the hardest programming languages. Both languages are as close to the hardware as possible, but assembly is somewhat readable for humans. Brain**** is so hard, it's only used for fun.
