Fedora 8 (Werewolf) settings

I am a newbie to Linux and I need info on the Xmodmap or .xmodmap file
placement to make mouse and keyboard settings global (i.e for su and for
ordinary user.) Does any of you know what this file should be named and
where it should go? In the file I have

pointer 3 2 1

and then a bunch of reassignments to the alt ctl windows and menu keys.

Thanx,

Ed

I'd go with :

/etc/X11/Xmodmap

That's what I use on my F8 system.
