"you have mail" at login
i would like to know how to check the mails that are sent by the system to the
user. everytime i boot the system says "you have mail" normally it should for example correspond to users attempts to use unallowed tasks by root. -- heavytull |

You get 2 default email messages when to install slackware linux. To delete
these, at the linux command prompt (in a shell) type (no quotes) 'mail' 'd' 'd' 'q' This will take you into the mailx application, delete the 2 emails and return you to the command prompt.
