Programs won't open on Windows XP
Hopefully someone can help me with this...I'm running Windows XP on this computer on a network of about 4 computers and on this computer only I cannot open any programs from desktop, the drives or the start menu. On desktop I can only open the recycle bin and the my computer icon, on the start menu the only thing that opens is internet explorer and none of the programs open in the drives and when i click to open from the drive an error window comes up only saying that the error is unknown. Most folders open in the drive but I cant view any PDF files. Anyone have this problem that knows any solutions? I tried the fix .exe link from doughknow and also tried a system restore but nothing has changed

Is your computer are connected through active directory or workgroup?
