Disable all automatic updates. No softwares for saving bandwidth, Browse/download less, and less bandwidth usage

Exactly what that does mean ? Measure your bandwidth usage by a software (or by right click on the network icon, click status, add up both the "send " and "received" bytes == total bandwidth usage), and if your account usage doesn't tally, then do what ymhatre said :::: complain to them

Well .. the bandwidth usage depends upon the sites u open ... infact even opening google takes away over 200 KB .... now with the BSNL conn. ur browsing speed will (well it should be atleast) be over 25 KBps always ... yes the browsing speed itself is that high ... so u'll see quite a fast increase in data transfer size ....

Also .... constantly note down the account usage after a session , then tally with the bsnl monitored one (i think they gave u an ip to do so) ...

And above all , make sure none of your friends uses the same id , password that u use .. that could be a very probable reason ...

Get softwares like BitMeter II to monitor your bandwidth usage. Install a firewall and control the programs that have access to Internet.

Recently there has been news of lots of account details leak of BSNL dataOne customers . Remember if anyone has your username and password he'll have full access even if you both login at the same time ....

Also don't forget to check fo any viruses ,malware, spyware which might be clooging your bandwidth ....

Hey buddy,

There is no way to stop the Bandwidth as you're using it throgh a counter in the BSNL office with your connection details in it.

Just use a firewall & block all except internet xplorer & firefox.

Or get an unlimited connection (dataone 900 plus) for Rs. 900/mo.

Regards
