How can i remove Sony ericsson file manager shortcut ??

Do anyone know how to remove s0ny ericsson File manager from desktop. It's undeletable, just like recycle bin.
I have even deleted the contents of its program files. but its not going.
Note: I Cant uninstall it.

Why did you delete the contents before un-installing ? re-install it again and then un-install or you can simply remove the un-installer entry using CCleaner.

And what error do you receive while deleting the shortcut ?

You can't remove it from Add/Remove Programs?

Try Windows Cleanup Utility if Add/Remove Program fails you.

I mean, if i uninstalled it, My phone software will be gone... Just want to delete the shortcut. that shortcut dont even have the delete option.

just select the shortcut and hit the Delete button.

Found this solution in another site. Give it a try.

1. Open Windows Registry Editor : Start > Run > regedit

2. Navigate to the following key and delete it.

Quote:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{A51 10426-177D-4e08-AB3F-785F10B4439C}]

There is a chance that the last section is a bit different. If it's not there look for keys starts with {A5.

Alternatively you can use Microsoft Tweak UI to get rid of it.
