Re: Windows XP Freezes

Try a scandisk on your drive... run a virus check...
What did you do before this happened? Did you install anything?

Re: Windows XP Freezes

Also I would check windows event log and see if there are any hardware errors.
If you can boot into safe mode and not freeze, it could be a driver or hardware issue.
If you get the BSOD and it is automatically rebooting, change the auto reboot settings (right click on My Computer, and left click on Properties) Windows Properties - Advanced - Startup and Recovery - and uncheck automatically restart under the system failure section. This way if you get the BSOD, you may be able to see what error you are getting.
This is a start, and I'm sure there will be other suggestions from some of the pro's here at TT
Good luck

Smile Re: Windows XP Freezes

Well... in most cases that file is probably damaged... you can download it here:
DLL-files.com - browseui.dll, free download
and then just replace it (it's in windows\system32\)
You should't have any problems doing so... the file is not write-protected...
Restart and you should be set... let us know what happened
Attached Files
File Type: zip browseui.zip (469.4 KB, 4 views)
