Exclamation Weird Yahoo error....

The problem is as follows :

Whenever I have Audibles (Dimaag kaa fried rice mat kar, bachaao, Mr. India ban baithaa hai kyaa ??? etc) enabled in Yahoo Messenger, I hear an obnoxious sound when I open a new chat window / receive an IM from someone.... It sounds like one of the Audibles' sound itself, just that the whole Audible isn't heard, just first 1-2 secs of that Audible....

ex : You know that Mr. India Audible (laal chasmaa lagaauu kyaa baawa) ??? Now when that audible starts, he goes "Abe ayyyyeee, offline ho gayaa kyaa....." right ??? Instead, when I receive an IM / message someone, the sound crops up "abeeee ayyyyyyy !!!" THAT'S IT.... Nothing more, nothing less....

I have been plagued by this ridiculous error for some time now....

I have never had such a problem with Yahoo + Vista before....

I removed my Yahoo, reverted back to earlier version (Yahoo 8), but still no changes....

I'm sure none of u have ever heard abt such a problem, because there's no mention of any such problem in Google search....

If u have, then join the club, we're an elite group....

Any help / suggestions welcome....

Re: Weird Yahoo error....

Did you completely un-install Yahoo messenger ? Even deleted the leftover files/folders ?

btw -- I haven't used yahoo M for the last 3 years now, but I think for the audibles it uses flash ?? You can try re-installing your flash player. Install the latest flash player for IE. That should work.

Just for the record, uninstalled the messenger, ran CCCleaner, removed all the BS remaining behind, manually removed the junk in Program Files, started YM afresh and voila, back to square 1....

It's as if my Laptop has been suddenly beset with all these problems -- all my invaluables are in my External HDD (USB Device), that doesn't work, YM startes sucking, can't install SP1 because the Windows Update says all the updates are up-to-date and manual download would be like castrating myself because it's 700 Mb and a 1000-1 shot that installing it would actually help....
