Hello all the people ,
i am hoping that all of you would be fine.
now lets comes to the topic.
last day when i tried to remove my falsh drive and when i click on saftely remove then the following box pops up saying that
"The device "Generic volume" can not be stoped right now. try stopping the device later"
can you solve this problem.
this happens to me many times.....

if you My Computer window open then close all such windows. Then try removing the usb drive.

now can you tell me that what should i do ? how could i saftely remove my Flash drive. i have tried after formatting it but problem is still.......

ok but google tell a lots of sites from which most of the sites are not too good>>>>>>

It means some programs are still accessing the usb flash drive. Closing down all the open programs & windows explorer windows should do the job.

If it still shows the error log off and login again. Now you should be able to remove it properly.

how i could prevent the programs from getting access to USB. however i want to tell you that i remove USB when i close all the programs.

Generally only explorer or your antivirus access the usb drive for scanning purposes. The access is not automatic, it only access when you try to browse files in removable drives.

You can disable autorun on all removable devices.

viruses do also acess the usb to create the autoruns!

Dear Strider and Bakuryu ,
i scan my computer from viruses as bakuryu you told i went to that link and gave a full scan to my pc. now after the scan the result which was generated i save that file and i attatched that file with this reply.
now bakuryu and strider can you tell me that how i can remove thoes viruses completely from my computer.
i don't wana install window for removing them.
i don't wana make new partation for getting rid of them.
if there is any other way insted of above two them tell me please .
check the file which i have attatched and tell me what to do?

Download and run CCleaner and clean all temporay files and Internet Explorer cookies.

use Killbox and delete the files
C:\xdw.com
D:\xdw.com
