Windows Xp Not starting
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Today afternoon I left my PC switched on by locking the screen. When I returned I found that My PC was hanged. I tried to shutdown it but I failed. Even by pressing ctrl+alt+del several times. So I pressed the reset button. After rebooting I found that My Xp was not starting..... After the windows logo only a mouse pointer appears on the screen with a black background. I cant start my Xp from safe mode also..... Please help me.... I have my lifetime works saved in this pc please help me to start this xp ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Have to tried to log using Last known good configuration.
If it doesnot work, try to login with Safe mode on Command prompt and give the line command CHKDSK C:\ (C:\ is the drive where you have your windows directory & System files)

I tried both.. sometimes it do started but after a while it hanged and stops working

Try to check if the cooler fan over the processor is working. Also if you are able to login to the system, Do a disk defragment.

Since you've the problem even after a reinstall, this must be hardware related. Open your CPU case and clean it a bit. MAke sure all the cables are connected firmly. Check the RAM sticks. Once done, start the PC and see if the problem persists.

hmm, wierd problem. do you have any USB device (USB mouse, keyboard, cam...etc) attached to your system. If so, try to re-boot after removing every USB device.

I am just hoping that can work if ur system starts go to RUN and type MSCONFIG and disable all startup files the files may have the virus files which is stoping ur system try it
