Downloaded IE8-how to get IE7 back?

I recently downloaded IE8. I have Windows XP Home Edition 2002. I keep having websites freeze up and IE stops running..Sometimes I can open up another IE window and it works fine. Other times I have to open up a third IE8 which then works fine while the other two still don't. Other times I have to restart the computer. I recently took it to a shop to get reformatted and this has not helped it.

I have virus software programs and use them regularly. But I think its IE8. I also cannot get Java Plug in to download, because it uses IE7.

Also when I use Disk Clean Up it seems to keep downloading the same files into temporary folders. Sometimes 12,000 to 28,000 or mor. It seems that Java since it has been installed permanently on computer should be automatically downloading over and over again into a temporary folders. Alot of these files are advertising that are unsolicitied. I don't know or what it is. But it's driving me crazy.I hope someone can help. Thanks.

If you wish to revert back to IE7, Try these methods

1. Click the Start Button and select Control Panel.

2. Select Add or Remove Programs.

3. Find and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 from the list of available applications.

4. Click the Remove button.

5. Restart your system.

Good Luck!!

And are you using the latest version of IE8? Beta versions had a number of bugs.
