Re: Windows Xp is rebooting continuously

Try to enter the Bios setting at bootup and change the settings, Halt On Errors
After you do this reboot your system, you will see some blue screen with some error code. Paste that code here, we could help if that is there.

Re: Windows Xp is rebooting continuously

Dear anik,

If the ALBIN procedure does not work, the just re-format and install windows again.. and
after installing divers, Install kaspersky antivirus 2010 with 30 days free trial and run a full system scan.

This is the only permanent solution to this problem if, Albin's procedure does not works.

Re: Windows Xp is rebooting continuously

Every time I have had this problem, it has been related to the video card. If you can get your hands on another video card, replace the existing one and see if that solves the problem. You can also try removing the add on video card and plugging your monitor into the integrated slot (if that is an option for you).

Re: Windows Xp is rebooting continuously

Hi ,
try changing the RAM . many a times if the RAM is faulty winxp starts rebooting. if u tried installing any software application try uninstallling it thru safe mode. Check the video display card driver . try changing the card to a different slot or install the driver back again.
Boot from winxp cd .
try the repair option
run chkdsk /p command

good luck
cheers

Re: Windows Xp is rebooting continuously

Did you check or have access to you windows booting log 'ntbootlog.txt' usually located on your windows directory?

You can also download the recovery console and spend sometime playing around with it. Instructions for downloading and running the recovery console can be found on microsoft siete.
