[Help] Can't delete an flv file from Desktop

I have a file on my desktop called "YouTube - arabbab8_s Channel_5" It
was a video
"flv". It's 21.9 MB and I can't get it to delete.

Right-clicking it and doing Properties doesn't open the Properties window.
If I move it to the recycle bin (with the keyboard delete button or the
mouse, or Shift and Delete) the "Calculation time remaining" delete dialogue
comes up and the progress bar keeps on flashing, but it never deletes the
file.

First of all do you have any Antivirus software installed? If not get a good one like Kaspersky or Avast and keep it up to date.

For deleting that file you can use a tool called Killbox.

Have you tried going to the command prompt;

Start | run then type 'cmd'
type the following in and press enter after each:

cd Desktop
attrib -h -r -s YouTube - arabbab8_s Channel_5.*
del YouTube - arabbab8_s Channel_5.*

exit

make sure there is a space between -h -r and -s as well.
you could copy these commands and paste them on the DOS prompt as well.

let us know it that solves your problem.

Hi Everyone,

I had the same problem. and I discovered a solution for this. To delete the file use killbox.
open killbox
Select the file you want to delete.
Now click processes on the top right of killbox.
Select explorer.exe
Press end task.
Now all windows of your desktop will disappear by doing this but dont worry about this. Killbox is still remain visible. Now press delete button on killbox.
And thats it. ;)

Basically, its a virus in explorer.exe. Install any good anti virus, update it and scan your system.

Enjoy!;)
