[Help] Formatting a Excel cell link in PowerPoint

Hi,
I am using Office 2010 but I also had the same problem in 2007. When I paste a cell from Excel into Powerpoint using Paste Special --> Paste as Link --> Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object the resulting box has a fine white border around it. I don't want a border around this, I just want the text to float.
In Excel, I can add a border and change the colour. This change appears in PowerPoint... but when I remove the border (no border option) there remains a white border around the object in PowerPoint.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Go to options in excel, then the advanced tab and uncheck show gridlines (I didn't even know you could do this?) under Display options for this worksheet. Then refresh your connection in PPT.

Done!
