Re: anyone plz help wd w32.jeefo virus

1. Disable System Restore
2. Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
3. Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as W32.Jeefo.
4. Open regedit, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

and delete "PowerManager"="%windir%\svchost.exe"

Re: anyone plz help wd w32.jeefo virus

Try this F-Secure Blacklight > F-Secure Blacklight

It looks for rootkit threats. It will search for hidden viruses, and then give you an opportunity to stop them from running. I had a virus at work ... actually there were a ton of them on the computer, I managede to remove most of them, but there was a stubborn one I could not find. It caused the system to crash when booting to safe mode BSOD, and it prevented me from installing anti-virus programs...really nasty. this program worked for me.
If that doesn't work, go through this Malware Romoval Guide at Major Geeks, it is really good

Depends.... was it legal Symantec, if not... yes people do this all the time.....
Pirated antivirus software is famous for containing viruses... kind of an interesting way to pass around a virus.... some pretty sick minds out there
