Platte account
Does anyone know how to get rid of the above link to a website? I
inadvertently must have subscribed to it, although I do not remember. I have erased all the references to it on my PC but it still keeps coming...Registry Cleaners do not remove it either. -- Yours Quilly, |

I don't read HTML-formatted posts. I only see the plain-text version. When posting to newsgroups, use plain-text format. Since you didn't bother to put the URL in your message, I (and others) cannot see it. Even when I look at the raw source of your post, there is no URL anywhere in it. And just WHERE is the "link" to the web site? Oh, I see, another one of those BT users. No, we are not there looking over your shoulder to see what you are pointing at. |

Re: Platte account
Sorry about the HTML, but the other poster looked at my heading and saw the
'above link' so please forgive and certainly forget. I suppose the anonimity of usenet makes you little guys ruder than if we were in the same room? -- Yours Quilly, http://quilljar.users.btopenworld.com/ |

I don't think you used to do that, so check your settings. Note that "above link" .. the word *link* normally, in computer/web speak, refers to a URL/URI, such as: http://example.com/something The words "Platte account" contains no link and is ambiguous. You're welcome in my room anytime, Quilly, and I'll talk the same as I type here. -- -bts -HTML is for web pages; plain text is for email and news |

"Platte account" is not a URL or a link. Doesn't even qualify as a sentence and is only to be used to introduce the topic of your message (and it certainly is not a link). "Not at home" is a very appropriate moniker. |
