reg cleaner deletes flashplayer

My registry cleaner keeps deleting my shockwave flashplayer..I cannot add
the necessary lines of my registry to be over looked-not deleted.- excluded
I use regcleanerXP.
I would change to another cleaner that allows me add the registry lines to
be excluded and not deleted.
anyone know what to do..or know of a good cleaner
thanks
Michael

Use of Registry Cleaners is NOT recommended. They have the potential to do more harm then
good and some are malware.

I use CrapCleaner to clean the registry and it has never caused me any
issues. It's a lightweight cleaner but that is all I need.

I use RegVac (not freeware), it finds hundreds of useless entries, the only
problem I get is I have to re-associate Irfanview to view pictures.

So you have admitted that this commercialware registry cleaner fucks up
by removing filetype associations. If it can't figure out the
interdependency of a filetype association with an application then why
would it be any smarter regarding other interdependent registry keys?
That you've had only that problem simply means you haven't discovered
the other problems that it creates or you have a simple environment that
doesn't involve registry entries that the cleaner can't understand.

Explain how YOUR deliberate use of a registry cleaner in anyway relates
to the topic of this newsgroup - which is SPYWARE.

And knock off the multiposting.
And post on-topic.

alt.PRIVACY.spyware, removing useless registry items can lead to better
privacy and stop spyware finding out what you did have on your system.

Only one, and the setting that does it has a warning and can be disabled. If
all other software products had just one bug it would be a much better
world.

As I've already stated, it doesn't affect anything else, apart form making
my boot time quicker as it no longer tries to alter or look at things that
no longer exist.

No, I'm installing and uninstalling programs all the time, if I didn't clean
out my registry on a regular basis it would become bloated and possibly
unstable.

Better privacy for sure. And is why I use a reg cleaner and not because
I think it will make my PC run like snot.
