Leythos

I downloaded the latest SBS&D from safer-networking and also the update
file for definitions.

When I tried to install it at a clients that doesn't have an internet
connection it would not get past the checking for updates stage of the
install....

Anyone else seen this?

Yea, don't be so hard on yourself butts, it's OK that you don't know the
answer either, since you've never written code or done any networking in

Uncheck "Download updates now" in the installer and it will install...

Actually, I did that, and it still checked. I got the new version today,
so maybe I get the benefit of being one of the first to test it offline

time, is to wipe and reload the operating system. That is the only way to be
100% sure the spyware is gone. That is why I did not see the option to
uncheck "Download updates immediately" during the installation. I am too
embarrassed to admit it so I came up with that lame ass excuse. Maybe I can
fool them into believing I am smart."

Actually, you are a dumbass. I was only installing SBS&D because I trust
the registry tool that searches for bad links/connections in the
registry and removes them.

I have never had malware on any computer I control, yet.

I checked here to see what I got and I was able to get it fully installed,
without updating of course. I unchecked the block to check for updates
immediately and it didn't check.
Using v1.5.2. I just unplugged my ethernet cable for one system I just
installed.
