What about 'packman'?

http://packman.links2linux.de/package/audacity/48805

There are some versions of audacity which are abot 5 hours 'old'.
I downloaded the Version for Suse-10.2 (i586) and did an
" rpm -U --test audacity-1.3.4-3.pm.beta.i586.rpm "
And did not get any complaint.

Perhaps this helps, Holger

I'm no expert but it looks to me like you need to add the http://
download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/anubisg1/openSUSE_10.2/
repository.

You can add this under YaST | Software | Software Repositories. This
might well sort out your wxGTX-gl dependency issues.

Alternatively use smart to add/remove packages, which I generally find
more reliable.
