luv gmail, yahoo and hotmail. in this order.

Gmail. +
1. because its backed by google and i one of those who worship google
2. its fast. the pioneer to use xmlhttp for its UI.
3. free pop & forwarding support.
4. labels man. much better than the older folder system.
5. integrated chat.

gmail -
1. adds all people whom i mail even once, into contacts

Yahoo +
1. the new interface is slick. almost outlook like. specially the multi message drag and drop. (but my account has pop access so its ok for me.)
2. yahoo messenger (cos we all need to have one yahoo id right?)

yahoo -
1. interface is very heavy on the resources.

hotmail - - -
1. the new interface is ok. but shows only the first part of forwarded messages. need to click a link everytime the mail was originally forwarded to finally read the contents.
2. too many to list.

edit: hotmail == the new windows live beta interface.

I like Yahoo mail a lot. It's beta is really more advanced than Gmail. In the existing version, the Spam Filter is really powerfull, worlds' best!

Gmail is not bad. Only problem is a bit slow for initial loading. The compatibility issues with old browsers seems fixed now. The chat is excellent.

Gmail is pretty good, its spam free.A major drawback is its slow loading.
There is one more email service which is one of the fastest, www.fastmail.fm its fast, slick and purely dedicated e-mail service. It has one big drawback,i.e just 10MB inbox.

Gmail, it handles mail convesations very nicely. Gmail chat is also quite handy at times and the label feature is awesome.

Re: Who is the Best Email Provider ?

I also like Gmail
I have had it for a long time, and as far as I know, the spam filter has never made an error and has only missed a half dozen or so spams in the last few years.
I also like the fact that the filters are really powerful, and can accept standard Google Boolean operators.

I HATE Hotmail... I had a hotmail account for a long time before Gmail... and one day I went to login, and Microsoft decided to randomly delete my account. No explanation, a bulls@*t excuse when I sent them an email asking why. I had to go through the painful process of notifying and changing account references to this email and so forth.

Don't know about Yahoo... since I am happy w/gmail... though I hear that Yahoo accounts get an awful amount of spam.

I also get up to 5 emails through my ISP using POP, or online mail service... I rarely use these emails, since I use my gmail so much.
